I put in my two week notice at Little Rascals Daycare in Buckner and was told that I would no longer be needed and not to come in the next day after Christy recieved it. I guess she was firing me for quitting. She called me four times that day and never remembered talking to me the time before. One of the calls she thought I was someone else and began talking about me before I interrupted her and said that it was really me not the other person she thought she was talking to. She told me that I would receive my final paycheck on December 30. The center is now closed down and the sign taken from the front of the building. I have called the corporate phone number multiple times, leaving a message and emailed her to discuss this. Still no answer. I drove to the corporate address in Oak Grove and the house is empty and there is a combination key lock on the front door. I will go again in hopes to catch someone, anyone there to get more info.
Mail that came into the daycare before I quit was from lawyers suing her for not paying other employees and several tax bills that were not paid from last year. She had not paid employee taxes to federal and state, yet was still taking the taxes out of our checks.
One day she came in and started taking out things, bookshelves and cribs, and told me she was replacing them with things from the Tracy location that they had decided to shut down so they could focus on the Buckner location solely. I found out that they lost it and it was sold on the Clay County Courthouse steps. The next day I came in to find the place was a disaster and they had just dumped inventory from the Tracy location to store at Buckner. We, the employees, were expected to get the place back into order.
Do not trust this lady or her family. They will rip you off just like they did their employees.
