I am new to the child care world! Our first daycare experience seemed to be very normal at first. This was the first daycare our son has attended, we were lucky enough to keep him home for the first 3 years of his life. It was hard for him at first to adjust to the new world as well but with the help of a few great people at the daycare, it got easier for him. Everything seemed okay at first and just slowly went downhill from there! The owner failed to cash our checks for weeks and weeks or even months! This started to get very annoying! My husband and I are very honest people and always pay our bills. So not long after this became a problem we realized that the poor ladies that worked at the daycare had to actually start paying for the kids to have food out of their own pockets because Christy failed to give them the funds to purchase the necessary items to run a daycare! I want to express my deepest thanks to them for doing what they did to make sure my child was taken care of while he was there.
We then were asked to help raise money for the daycare for field trips and other items through fundraisers. My son and I sold a very nice amount of the products and still had to pay our part at the field trips and according to the daycare employees, they never saw a dime as we were told that they would! Obviously Christy would rather put that cash into her pocket rather than her business. But that's not all... We realized that the girls were having a hard time dealing with their boss and several of them resigned from their positions but were very open and honest with us parents, which as a parent we deserve that! These are our children, our WHOLE WORLD and we want the very BEST for them. Within the last weeks there, we recieved our account balance statements which as I said before we are very honest people and have paid every single week! We had always been up-to-date in previous statements until now! In the first weeks statement it showed that we owed her almost $200. The very next week, after we paid as usual, it showed that we missed 2 more weekly payments!!! Please explain that one to me!
As all of us parents know, she never cashed the checks in a timely manner so if she misplaced or lost any of them I don't feel that I should have to replace them. For instance... If we go shopping and pay the cashier for our items and they lose our money, they don't call us and request us to show them a previously cashed check for proof nor would they ask us to rewrite them a check! Businesses cannot run effectively in that manner. So obviously Christy should not be in any management related position! She seems to be a very rude and selfish person after speaking to her finally on the telephone. I feel that she never stood behind the agreement that we signed at the very beginning! We are still pondering our thoughts and trying to figure out the best way to handle this matter.
After hearing that she has refused to pay her employees that made me even more furious! What kind of a person is she?! I don't see how she thinks she can run a business like this.
All I can say is that I wish the great ladies that took such good care of my son the very best in their future! I just want other caring parents to read this and realize that Christy is a horrible person and shouldn't be allowed to have a license from the state period! I understand that in todays economy times are tough but that doesn't give her any right to go back and change account information! My main concern is that my son is in a good, caring environment and I know that he is now!
There have been rumors that Christy and her husband are going to have to sell the Buckner location or loose it, there are very very few children still attending, less than 5! I would like to close by saying that I recommend that you research your childcare facility prior to placing your family into these situations! Thank you all for taking time to read my complaint!
