And the woman that owns the place is RUDE! They made my wedding a nightmare!
From the first day I walked into this place they made my wedding an absolute nightmare, but I found the dress I was absolutely in love with and the old woman that owns the place had the nerve to tell me I looked fat in it in front of the 5 other bridesmaids that I took with me (mind you I had a baby 5 weeks before, so of course I was going to look a little chubby).
But I had 6 1/2 months (I went in the beginning of July, the wedding wasn't until the midding of January) until the wedding and knew I was going to lose the weight so I wanted to order my normal size, but she refused to cooperate. I couldn't believe. But everyone loved the dress on me.
I wish I could attach the picture because I looked awesome in it. She made me order this dress 4 sizes too big when I told her to order it in the size I wanted it and refused because she knew she would make money off alterations.
When the dress came in it was huge, I asked her to re-order it since I still had 4 months till the wedding and didn't want to have to deal with alterations (would have been the perfect height and everything), but of course she refused again.
I was the skinniest on my wedding day than I had ever been. But my complaint is that she charged me twice for alterations! Twice! $105 was suppose to be the bill.
It says all alterations must be paid in cash and dress can not be taken out of the shop until it is paid. So mind you I paid it in cash.
She was sick so the day before the wedding when I picked it up, so her husband was took the money, so I don't know if he didn't know not to give me a receipt or what. But I didn't think about it, hell I was getting married tomorrow I was excited!
Then the woman goes and charges the credit card again, when it says all alterations must be paid in cash! Another $105, when the alterations weren't even done right in the first place.
It's horrible I have pictures on my wedding day to prove it. Both straps fell numerous times, when I told her that I wanted it tighter, she refused to listen to what I had to say.
And the hem of the dress was just not done right. I had double boob pads that were put in, and there was a snag and very noticeable on the outside.
I was so pissed off at this place on my wedding day. And now 2 months after the wedding I find out that she has charged my mothers credit card when it says specifically on the contract that it is to be paid in cash.
This woman is going to court till I get my $105, and then I'm going to get my money back for alterations. This is bullshit. The bridemaids were also suppose to get 20% off since I bought my dress there, but did they ever get it? No of course not, not until I asked them how much they paid for there dresses, they didn't even mention to them that they were suppose to get 20%, until I told them at the end and they went and got there money back.
God knows how many people they do that too. Next complaint is that the bridemaids dresses were ordered 6 sizes to big.
She knew when we walked in she was so making money off of us. My husband's sister is a size 2!!! And they ordered her an 8. What the hell! That's huge for a girl that size.
My 2 other bridesmaids who are normally a 14 they ordered a 20 for, and when you go into plus sizes the dress is $35 dollars more.
One of the girls mothers makes clothes and had it out with this woman because she makes her daughters clothes she knows that no way her daughter is a size 20.
These are college students for god sake's. The dresses looked huge and absolutely aweful on them. So every dress ended up costing $300 with alterations.
Oh and this one is the greatest, one of my bridemaids had it out with the old woman. She fit in the one on the rack that is a size 10, and the woman wanted to order her a 16 but refused so she's like I fit into the one on the rack, and didn't believe her so she tried it on, and no kidding perfect, no alterations or anything needed.
The woman didn't say a word. So stay the hell away from this place please! This place will end up costing your wedding a fortune and making it a nightmare.
