On April 17th I ended the service of cable provider with Direct TV; looking for a more economic provider. On this day I called your customer service to inform Direct TV of my decision, I asked the steps need to take to make the transition he informed me I simply needed to pay my current balance. I am aware that I was paying Direct TV on a monthly basis and every monthly in advanced, I proceed to make my payment and was not told to return any items, or cancel anything further.

Nearly 6 months later on Sept. 26th Direct TV automatically charged my bank card the hefty amount of $599.91 dollars, all this to my utter surprise. First and foremost, I was not notified of any returns, cancellation fees, or any kind of charges for ending the service with you company. The breakdown I was given when I called Direct TV to clarify the situation was this: $254.40 for the HD Receiver I received while I was using DTV, $187.00 cancellation fee, and $158.51 for use of cable.

Upon my dispute I was told by returning the HD Receiver box I would get the credit for this item, this box was sent back to you on September 30th, in fact I even received a credit receipt dated October 26th till this day I have yet to receive ANY CREDITS from you.

Moreover, how could I have been using Direct TV's service if I closed my account and have proof of my new provider's service since April? These alleged charges for months of service use are false, and evidently Direct TV would not have given me any months of service without any payment. Lastly I was notified the early cancellation fee was charged because of a binding contract I made with Direct TV, upon my request to see this contract your customer service representatives have failed to shown me any signed contract by simply stating when you installed the boxes for services, the receipt for such action was my contract. I have been told by several representatives that I will be getting the charges credited back to my account.

In addition due to your actions I have had a considerable amount of issues with my bank: Washington Mutual, including unnecessary overdraft fees and claims in this account which I have manage to maintain impeccable for 7 years before this incident. At this point I am extremely frustrated and upset with the lack of service and substantial explanation for your actions. I stand with a feeling of empty assurance Direct TV and their team has constantly stated.

Direct TV does not honor contractual obligations-but you expect me to honor mine, you do not adequately train your staff, you do not have supervisors that are able or willing to take phone calls, you do not have a customer service department that can provide even the most minimal level of service to their customers, and apparently you do not have anyone at the top of your management team that has even the faintest idea of how to treat consumers ore resolve customer complaints

I am hereby DEMANDING a credit for your charges against my account, please know that I am willing to take legal action and file my complaint with the corresponding bureaus and organizations to receive what is fair on my end. While Direct TV was my provided I was a decent and prompt customer, I would appreciate you contact me to resolve this issue.
