Verizon Fios is nothing short of a nightmare! I had it only 3 months when my modem just fried. I was without internet for 3 days till they sent a new one. Then I realized the rep lied to me about the cost of the HD DVR saying it was the same monthly as the standard so I requested they switch them.

After getting the standard I noticed it was filling up fast although I had few shows recorded. I contacted tech support who claimed there was a "glitch" and they were "working on it" which I knew to be a total lie! Called again and got the REAL answer: The DVR I had was used previously by someone else and there was still information on the Hard Drive and it needed to be reformatted - in other words I lose all my shows. What the hell am I paying so much money for! They never offered to compensate me in anyway.

Then miraculously a month or so later my phones stopped working. I called again and they said my phones were off the hook (which they were not). I unplugged all the phones and still no help I called on a Thurs and they said the soonest they could send someone was wed. I asked for a supervisor and all of a sudden someone was available Mon. So now I don't have a phone for 4 days.

To my surprise a tech came out on Sunday morning unannounced (which pissed me off) and checked the lines I had been promised that unless they repaired the lines I would not be charged. The guy checked the lines and claimed everything was ok on the outside.

He came inside and did nothing and after checking the lines again they started working. The tech said he had no idea why it started working (probably something he did outside). Then Verizon sent me a bill claiming they repaired the line. When asked what they did they had no answer.

I received a credit for the "false Bill" but then they put it right back on and did with an installment so that it showed up on 2 separate bills. It was the most convoluted bill that even the supervisor at customer service could not figure out how they billed me.in the end they agreed they owed me money.

After claiming the check is in the mail I still received bills claiming I owe Verizon money and if I don't pay it's going into collections. I have spent hrs of my valuable time with these incompetent idiots who call themselves customer service, techs and sales reps. Verizon cares little since they are a national copany my cable company came and bought out my contract with Verizon.
Stay AWAY From verizon fios they are horrible! I have reported them to the BBB already.
