My name is marian from las vegas, nv and i'm a ex-buyer of 2008 skeeter bass boat from 'skeeter dealer' named: 'las vegas marine inc.' with the current address at: 980 american pacific dr. Suite #109 henderson-nv 89014 ', and because of an accident that i had at the lake mead over 3 months ago, i left my boat to the upper mentioned 'skeeter-yamaha dealer repair shop because of substantial fiberglass hull and lower unit engine damages. Mr. Marcus clouse representing this firm told me that they will take care of this repairs, and they will provide to my 'old united casualty insurance' the total cost estimate of this repairs. We wait on this repairs start because this repair place requested the whole amount of $ 12,635.00 in advance in order to start any repairs, which i was not happy giving him the whole amount, but i had no other alternative at that moment. I told marcus close that i will feel more confortable to give him half of that estimate cost repair in advance, and the 2nd half after the repairs in order to see the quality of that job. He refused my offer of half paid to start, and half after repairs, and assured me that they will take care of my repair in order to satisfy me, which right now after his repairs were done, i found out that his practices were nothing then scam, mislead and very very poor performance associated with infalted estimate cost of my repairs in order to steal more money from my insurance. He introduced in my estimated sheet various charges that never took place, like: removing engine from the boat/reinstall engine and wiring harness / remove existing fuel from engine ot total cost of $ 1,610.00.. I demanded that amount back from him on 09.02.2008 and he refused completely. Not only, his remarks and his father remarks present at that unpleasant conversation were: quote 'why do you care, this is not your money, this is the insurance money' unquote. Very rude behaviour and after that they use 'f' words, insulting me and my f. Cking boat and my f. Cking engine, etc. I purchased this 2008 skeeter bass boat from them back in march which cost me over $36,700.00.. Marcus clouse finalized my repairs on 09.19.2008 and he left me a voice message on my cell phone in order to come and pick up my boat. I was working at that time and i came the 2nd day (09.20.2008) with the henderson police in order to recover my boat. I also want to mention that on the same day that we had the argument regarding his practices i requested my whole amount of $ 12,635.00 money back and i told him that i will seek a different place to repair my boat but he refused as well. He also refused me with any details of the fiberglass place, and i insisted on that exactly when the henderson police were present which gave him no alternative then to provide this information in order to verify what was the real amount that he paid on my behalf. Certanly as i suspected even here it was a differences that were paid and exceeded the amout that he requested involving the fiberglass repairs.
Right now their respons do not reflect the reality what so ever. His estimate do not reflect the real market which suppose to charge me for those repairs.in fact 'las vegas marine inc'paid for fiberglass restorations arizona repair place only $ 4530 instead of $ 6200 which he scam my insurance and overcharged it in the end. I never agree with him in any fiberglass repair other the 'skeeter manufacture' which is the boat construction company, and that is why i left my boat to his place. He rushed into this repair in order to scam my insurance with various labor which never been performed as i mentioned already. He never wanted to informe me with the real fiberglass repair place. He lied to me that the 'fiberglass reformations arizona' will remove my main engine of the boat which they never performed such a labor, and marcus's mom confirmed on the phone that the boat went with the main engine at the fiberglass repair. It is very obvious that my upper outboard yamaha engine have not been removed from the boat which he lied of, and charged me with $ 1500 for this job. It is also very very very obvious that the 'lower unit' part that he replaced on my boat it is a remanufactured unit and refurbished part which was repainted/spray with other navy color over the original factory paint, and that was mentioned as well by other yamaha representative in their report. Marcus clouse charged me with $ 4825 including the propellar which originaly both cost $ 3978 without taxes, so the 4825 represent their labor too. Now because i paid for the brand new parts and i received a refurbished instead, it is something that would not ever satisfy me, and also he never mentioned that he will use refurbished parts to fix my boat. Because i would not agree with that. Marcus clouse lied me continuously and refused to show me the performance of his repair, so i had to insist over that quiet of times. He lost my boat keys and he was very surprised and upset to see that i have with me the spare one and i still want to see the performance of his work on my boat. The test lasted only 3 seconds and that is why i realised that something could be wrong with his repair because he was acting very nervous. I went right after that at the lake mead to make a better and longer test, and i found that the engine sound very different after his repair and do not work properly, plus it stopped on that day. I was not able to restart the engine and to return back at the doc. I had to put the boat on the trailer manualy using the bow winch. As of today 10.16.2008 the engine require further investigation and repairs in order to fix my boat after he received 12,635.00 usd and the boat engine do not function. This crook marcus clouse and his father which are responsible of insurance fraud and scam, talk about me seeking counseling or 'help'.. Well, i think their behaviour needs a very 'special attention' from local authorities in order to stop this kind of ripoff activities against customers. He is responsible in the court of law regarding his scam, teft and mislead which will demonstrate the reality of this whole event. This case will go public and i will not let this crook to ripoff me.
Marcus clouse and las vegas marine inc henderson repairs on my 2008 skeeter boat represent a very very poor performance and unreliable quality or satisfaction. It is not safe to have this boat on the water after 'las vegas marine inc' repairs..
I reported all this to 'old united casualty', which is my boat insurance, but this company do not want to take any action againt marcus clouse because they use his place in order to advertise their insurance business, and this is how i've got to contact old united casualty..
