On October 7th I placed and online order of white and yellow almonds and paid $105.00 on expedited shipping charges to get them on time to take down in for a party in Mexico City. On the afternoon of October 9th, we opened the package and realized they had sent blue almonds instead of yellow. First thing Friday morning I called and talked to a lady by the name Sherry who told me she was extremely sorry for their mistake and that they would send to me directly to Mexico the yellow almonds. Later on that day she called to let me know they did not have any yellow almonds in stock. I asked for them to send me white ones instead, but to please make sure I had these no later than the following Tuesday. I never heard from them again and when I called on Tuesday Sherry told me she was not handling this issue and that the owner would talk to me. He came on the line to say, they were not going to do anything about it, because I had taken more than 24 hours to report the problem, (48 to be exact). When I told him this was completely unacceptable, that his company in bad faith had made the decision to ship something I had not asked for, he responded "all companies make mistakes" He indicated he was going to be generous enough to waive the 20% re-stocking charge but if I wanted credit for these almonds I had to pay to ship them back to them, and about the shipping charges, they were not going to give me any credit. Consumers should know, not to deal with these crooks.
An honest company should have contacted me on the 7th to advise they were out of stock on half of my order. At that time I could have found an alternate supplier.
This Company believes that they can charge your credit card for something you did not order; make you pay for the shipping to send that merchandise to them, charge you a 20% re-stocking charge if you fail to call them within the first 24 hours and NO credit on shipping charges at all. Good luck if you venture to deal with them.
