I recently lived in Florida. I seen an add on TV on day about Vonage and how they had a promotion going on for $9.99 a month. I thought, Hey thats not too bad. I called and went through the activation process. I had to wait 7-10 days to get a telephone number and it took 3 weeks for them to ship my equipment out to me. (Right there is one month of service)
In the meantime, My family and I had to move back to Pennsylvania unexpectedly. I finally received the package, BUT I refused it to go back to the company. I called customer care and spoke to a gentleman who ensured me that my account would be cancelled once the equipment was received. Fair enough right? WRONG!
Here it is 3 months after the fact and I'm getting a bill for $30.66. I called in today to get this mess straightened out, only to find out my account was never cancelled and I now have to pay $39.99 for a disconnect fee for a phone service that was NEVER ONCE used!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND VONAGE TO ANYONE! If something seems too good to be true than it probably is!!!
