I received a phone call from a gentleman offering me an interest free credit card of up to $7,500. He was nice and smoothe. He said all I had to do was sign up for a year of Road America roadside assistance auto club for $139 plus $14.95 a month after. He also said I would receive $100 in gas rebates and they would charge me just $10 more per month. He also gave me a 30 day free voice mail with a toll free phone number. It was free for the first thirty days and then $10 a month.
He told me I had to wait a day to set up and use the voice mail and when I went to set it up a few days later, I ran into technical issues.
I called the customer service number he gave me. They asked me to enter my phone number. I did. They said they had no record of me in their computer. It was a continued, long, drawn out process that was nothing more than the run around.
I decided to go to their website to see if they had a FAQ section or a better way to communicate with them.
That is when I noticed they were offering PREPAID credit cards. Of which they never once mentioned this offer was for a prepaid card.
I decided to do some googling of the company and found out they are nothing but scammers!
They already docked $139 from my bank account and will go after $35 a month from here on out.
It has been a couple of weeks at least and I have not even received the card they "promised" me or any "gas rebates"!
What can I do? Please give me advice!
