About the 15th of April I received a phone call from a credit card company offering me an unsecured MasterCard, for a one-time fee of $299. I had received this offer two months before but refuse it for I didn't have the funds at that time. Later I could have kicked myself for not taking it. I knew I could have found the funds somewhere.
I am a single mother supporting two sons and myself on disability alone, witch adds up to $1074 a month.
About April 15th I received the call again, I couldn't believe it I never thought they would call again. I took the offer only after asking a group of questions. I made this list up after being burned by a Company or supposedly a company by the name of Direct America. I ended up with a Master Card that was to be used to purchase items online from their catalog.
The first question was it a secured card the man I spoke to said no, the second question was this a card to be used on line or from a catalog. His answer was it was a regular Master Card that could be used anywhere, in restaurants, stores, and Motels. I then said to him it is just a regular credit card that can be used anywhere. His answer was yes.
He told me I wouldn't have to pay any interest for 6 months. He also told me that after one year my interest rate would go down. I ask for the address of the company he work for and a phone number. After he gave me the address he said someone would call me back in the next 20 minutes, which someone did it was a girl she gave me a conformation number and a toll free number for customer service.
Till today, I have not receive a thing from this company. I decided to try the Internet to see if I could find out any more about the company this site is what popped up. I can't believe people can be so heartless not even thing how they are hurting other people.
