Well, it started like this. I went to purchase the "Almighty iPhone" after doing the proper research for requirements that needed to be met in order to qualify for the new 2-year activation sale price, which, after a total of 2 hours worth of phone calls, I was happy to know I met. I was told I could easily go to an AT&T wireless store pay for the phone and then it would be ordered and delivered in 14-21 business days. Or I could go to the Apple store (50 feet away in the same mall) and walk out with it immediately. So I decided to go to the Apple store in order to walk out with the phone in hand that day.

After 3 hours with a sales associate (there was no line to stand in, I was working with the associate for 3 hours) at&t wireless informed Apple that I did not meet the requirements. Mind you, I already purchased an iPhone a few months earlier which meant that I met the requirements.

First I was accused by AT&T of tampering with the phone causing the agrement to be null and void. I did not and there was proof of it. Then, I was humiliated by saying my balance was overdue and had to prove it to 2 Apple associates by logging into my AT&T account. During the process the kind Apple associate kept getting hung and given phony numbers by the AT&T associates which made the proccess even more frustrating. I was finally told that in order to purchase the phone I was going to have to pay twice the amount and deal with AT&T later.

Later that night I received a phone call from AT&T wireless informing me that there was a computer error and it would be fixed in a matter of 24-72 hours. The associate never gave me a contact number and then continued to leave me in the dark. 48 hours later I called AT&T to get a contact number and ended up having to explain and deal with another associate with this same matter. During that conversation the associate chose to say that I had the problem (mind you I was given confirmation that it was a computer error) that I had a stolen phone! This was said after also confirming the date and purchase place of the phone.

Now in order to resolve the conflict and get an iPhone I must travel back to the store, pay the amount and get authorization and wait an extended period so that I can go through more procedures because of this computer glitch. I have had some negative dealings before with AT&T Wireless (phony internet usage charges, text messages not sent, etc.) but this takes it to a new level with them making accusations towards my character.

This is a business that has now shown the inabilty to take ownership of their faults but instead humiliate, embarass, and bully their customers into submission for money. Also why is AT&T wireless holding on to our money or charging us twice the amount and making us jump through hoops in order to get refunded the proper amount owed? Where do they get the right to charge for service unrendered?
