Customer Cites Thousands of BBB Complaints Despite JD Power Award

Have you ever investigated DirecTV? I am one of their customers who feels taken advantage of. If you look at the Better Business Bureau of Southern California, they have over 8,000 complaints, and I don't understand how they get an award from JD Power and Associates.

Here are the complaints in Northern California (number of complaints, type of response):
3123 - Making a full refund, as the consumer requested
622 - Making a partial refund
8768 - Agreeing to perform according to their contract
724 - Refusing to make an adjustment
5736 - Refuse to adjust, relying on terms of agreement
