We were contacted last month by EBoost Media with a promise that by signing up for their service, we would be at the top of the searches for our keywords on all of the major web search engines (google, yahoo, etc). We were given a $99 first month trial offer and told that each additional month would be a $159 flat rate, regardless of number of clicks. We were told we could cancel at any time. We decided to try it. We were to receive a plain looking business card from google with a pin number that was needed to activate our account. The $99 was paid right away to them and then we waited and looked for the postcard... It never came. Therefore, after a few more days as a courtesy to the postal service, we contacted EBoost. We were then given a pin over the phone and took the steps to activate and were told it was activated. A few days later, we began trying searches to see how it was working. Using Google, we were nowhere to be found on the first FEW pages of search results. We gave it a few more days and then began a LONG and FRUSTRATING process of trying to contact the people of EBoost to get things working. Pretty much we either left messages that were never returned or actually spoke to someone in customer service who assured us they would look into it, take steps to resolve, and call us back. Sounded great, but we NEVER got a call back and nothing changed with the searches we were doing! This went on for a few weeks and we were completely frustrated with not being called back.in our business, we cannot comprehend ignoring one phone call, not to mention MULTIPLE phone calls that EBoost was receiving from us. We would say at the end of the phone call, "We need to hear back from you TODAY, " and they would say, "absolutely" and then NOTHING. Today, I had them say I would get a return call "in 30 minutes" and an hour later, I called AGAIN. Last week, we called to cancel since we hadn't had any of the services working for us and we'd paid them $99. We were told that we were canceled (they did not even try to keep us as a client... Perhaps because they know they aren't providing the services they charge people for?). Then, a few days after canceling, I look yesterday and see that we have been charged $159 from them. I immediately call and call and call and continue to get the run around from people and have each person telling me something different. Either this company changes their policies to fit their own needs in every situation or they have the worst company training and no one knows the policies. Where we stand currently is that they are aware of our complete dissatisfaction, continue to not return phone calls, continue to tell us that we will not get the $99 refunded, may or may not be refunded the $159 (depending upon who you talk to), and are waiting on our refunds. During one phone call today, my husband heard the woman typing as she was saying how we were coming up on Yahoo... All of a sudden we could find ourselves at the top of Yahoo... Perhaps she was setting this up as he was on the phone?!?! Also, even if Yahoo was working, we were promised ALL the major search engines... Wouldn't that include Google? We are mailing out tomorrow the dispute form to our credit card company about these charges. We strongly feel that this company has some of the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE we have ever seen. They are very polite and courteous on the phone but do nothing and are apparently unable to return a single phone call. This is ludicrous and inexcusable and VERY POOR business practice. Our own company will completely fail if we operated in the way of EBoost, and ethically, we could not do business as they do. We are not the only ones to have had this experience with EBoost, so please know that it is in your best interest to STAY AWAY and politely DECLINE the offer of their services!
