Someone contacted Sky-Skan, Inc. With an offer to send ink cartriges to try out for a period of time, guaranteeing that there would be no pressure to pay them immediately. The scam was that they would send better cartriges for less money than you can purchase locally. The products were shipped and somehow one of the cartriges was not useable. It didn't fit any of our products. Ultimately, they wanted payment and started to call on a weekly basis for the money due on the cartrige that was never used. We returned the item to them for full credit as they wanted us to pay a discounted price of $109.00 from $159.00 due to the fact that the cartrige had been in our possession for a year or more. Since the only thing we could do with it was discard it, it was decided to return it without requesting Return Authorization as it was clear they would never authorize a return. It was sent back anyhow. Then another phone call requesting a check number for the invoice due. I stated that the cartrige was returned and that we felt that we should get full credit. There was a request for the owner's name or someone further up the chain of command in order to further demand payment. The caller also said that if the product was returned without aurhorization that they would again send it back to us in order to make us pay the invoice. So far we are hoping they will accept the returned item and stop harassing us. To be continued...
