Settled debt - Confirmation Lette

On March I received a call from RPM to settle a debt. The debt was settled over the phone with my credit card. I was then informed by the representative that I would receive a confirmation letter as a receipt of my payment within 5-10 days. As of today I still have not received this letter.

As time passed I did not think anything else about this until I start receiving letters to collect a debt from a different collection agency. This is when I realized that this was for the same debt that was already paid through RPM and in which it also shows on my credit report.

This prompted me to call RPM and request a confirmation letter, so that I can clear this matter up with the other collection agency and the credit bureau. I made at least 2 phone calls before the month of May requesting this information and was informed by one of the representative that according to there records, on July 7th I called in to report to that the letter had been received. But what really happen was, I called to REQUEST a confirmation letter NOT to report that the letter had been received.

Anyhow. Since I wasnt getting anywhere I started writing down names and dates of the people I spoke with to keep track of this poorly operated collection experience.

On May 7, I contacted RPM again to request this confirmation letter that I still have yet to receive and spoke with a so called "manager". I explained the situation and was informed by her that she will see that it is taken care of and I that I can expect to receive the letter in 30 days. 30 days has past and still no letter.

On June 13 I called and spoke with a different manager who informed me that the letter was fowarded to the corporate on May 14 for approval and that I could expect to receive it within an additional 30 days.
30 days has passed still no letter.

On July 7, I called spoke with the same manager that I spoke with on 5/7 and was informed that she will send a note to the department that send faxes to request a fax to be sent to me in which I can expect to receive with in 2-10 days. (Still no letter)

On July 17, I made another phone call and spoke with the same manager who informed me again that a notice was submitted to a supervisor for signature on July 7 and that it has already been mailed. (STILL I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE THIS LETTER).

In between all of the above communication my hold time has been in between 6 to 10 minutes and this has been one of the worst experiences of my life.

I need some help in getting this situation resolved as for I cannot move forward with clearing my name until this letter is received. I also have names of each indiviual I have spoken with not mention in this report.

I do not understand why it is so difficult for this company to assist me with a simple request.
