Rip off with Q WEST phone company, In October of last year Q west had a buddle program for satellite TV, Phone, long distance plus, internet. Broadband. The cost was to be $92.00 per mouth plus some tax. The customer paid for the broadband equipment before hand.
The problem Qwest is not keeping their verbal word on being locked in at that price. We as Customers in Winchester Idaho have to fight each month on our bill. The internet was to be no larger than $26.00 per month a set price and not to be changed. They are now trying to charge $44.00 per mouth, the long distance they give their other customers in other areas is only $15.00 per month, we were told $20.00 but we are paying $25.00 now $27.00 the long distance was to include all calls made in state and out of state at one fee.
The Winchester residents are getting answers from the Q West repressive that they do not have bundling in our area. They sure were happy to say they did when we sign up in Late October. They gave several different answers each time one would call. Like you do not have caller ID, Will that is an extra option and an extra price. Then they said the Idaho Utility Commission was the problem for our area.
Will I call them they had nothing to do with it. Then they said it was due to the different price range and that we were not in the area to get the best fixed price for our long distance. Why I asked that customers that lived 37 miles away in the same state can receive the $15.00 per month and we have to pay the $25.00. We have the same phone lines. We pay the same for having just a phone service. As the rest of Idaho.
After talking to anther person who signed up with the bundle before me is also having the same problems of the bill having to be comforted each mouth which takes hours and also the stress of having to do so.
The QWest Manger told me I would not receive any more refunds all I wanted was what they told me on the price of my bundle when I started the service and that the price would not change and I was locked in at that price.
In summary my internet bill is now $44. Per month instead of the lock in price of $26.99 plus I paid for the equipment. I also have to pay for a lease fee of the receivers for satellite TV which is $4.98 times twice instead of just the $36.99 for a two room service, which should have been included within the $36.99 which is for two room service.
They tell me I am only paying $20.00 a month for all my long distance and I am paying $27.00 other customers are only paying $15.00 per month within the same state. I feel that if it is the same company they should have the same programs and prices for all of Idaho customers.
