I started out working for Interstate fencing on a promise i would recieve a payroll check after a few weeks of working there. A few weeks had passed and i was still recieving company personal checks. There was no application or forms to fill out. I left for vacation presuming i would be paid what i was owed upon my return.instead i was told that there was a pair of pliers missing that supposedly cost $47, and would not be paid anything that i was owed untill that pair of pliers was returned or a new pair was brought in to him. I do not have the pliers, nor did i even use them the day i left for vacation. So i have to suffer without any pay untill i come up with $47 to go and buy a pair of pliers that i never even took?
Also, the boss (Roman J Haack), was very verbal abusive calling people names and yelling at them all day everyday because they didn't know as much as he does, and that frustrates him. This has happenned to other employees when they left the company aswell, from my understanding of what others have told me and another employee that quit there about the same time i did, who has to go without any pay aswell for the same pair of pliers (plyers?). I know it is illegal to hold any monies earned without written and signed consent from the employee. Yet i havent been paid yet, even though i complained to the workforce developement and it was confirmed that i worked there... I can get a bank statement showing copies of the checks probably.
Today i got a call from "Complete fence" and i answered it hoping it was a job application returning call. But it was my old boss under a different company name threatening me with a lawyer about wage disputes... Now remember i told you it was Interstate fencing company... Another time we worked as American Fence at a walmart in Milwaukee on 27th Street... This guy changes company names frequently because (i guess) he gets these problems alot, because he doesnt want to pay employees what they're owed for hours worked..
