Comcast allowed someone else to receive services using my SS#. I tried several times to correct this with comcast, but representative would not return a call. Therefore, I went to the North Charleston Police Department and filed a report of identity theft.
North Charleston Police has tried to obtain information in order for them to further their investigation.
I do not know how comcast can allow just anyone to request service and then deliver without verifying the persons information, inasmuch proper identification, driver's license, ect.
The only way that I found out about this, I tried to receive their bundle services and at that time was told I needed to pay an old debt of $175. I refused since this debt was not mine.
To date, nothing has been reported back to me. Even after I made several calls to Comcast, visited their local office and also sent an email to their public relations persons.
