My stuff was in storage with TRANSIT storage the are connected to US 1 VANLINES for a couple of months in Brooklyn NY so in Feb I contacted them to ask them how much did I owe for my storage and how much was it to move my things to Atlanta Georgia.in total I got a quote of $2200 that was fine. David broke it down for me being $1200 for my storage and $995 for the move so he said. I had to sign a contract in order to do this. So he asked what day I need the furniture by I told him March 3rd because I was moving on the 1st, so he faxed me the contract and told me that before I can lock in that date I have to pay the storage bill and half of delivery which came up to $1715 which was fine $500 on the date when my furniture comes he said just sign and fax it back.
Later that week I got a phone call from Tal saying she faxed the contract and I faxed it back and that my she stated my stuff would be there if not before the 3rd on the 3rd. So the next week Feb 23 it was snowing in New York I spoke to Avi because I was supposed to pay them that day he rushed me there telling me the truck was leaving that Sunday I have to come so I went and paid. Then he told me he would pick up 2 bins that had from home then the story changed to the truck is leaving Monday. He never came I called oh no the truck is leaving Wed., then it turned to Sun then it turned to Tues. Then it turned to I dont know. I finally left New York on March 1 st couldnt get in touch with anyone for days.
Finally got in touch with Avi he said truck dosnt leave until its full and they didnt now when it will leave finally I got word was leaving around the 18th and the truck will be here betweeen the 22nd and the 24th the driver will call me day before.
The driver calls on the 22 and said he will be here on 24th morning but do I think my complex can fit an 18 wheeler truck I let him and his girlfriend know right then and there that a 18 wheeler truck cannot fit in this complex they sais that wpould be extra money i would have to caall the office on Monday, so I did and Ariel told me its not there folked an 18 wheeler cannot fit and I said its not mine either he said I would have to pay them to get another truck to bring my stuff in the complex he said ITS MY STUFF I did not have the extra money so my stuff went back into storage in Nocross GA and he said I had to fax a letter stating why I need redelivery. So I did he was supposed to get back to me but I'm still waiting forthat phone call.
The thing he left with me is that for redelivery it would be $400- $450 more. So next week would be a month I have been waiting for my furniture and me and my small baby have been sleeping on the floor because of it being MY STUFF I'm responsable for the 18 wheeler truck not fitting in my apartment complex as per ARIEL. Stay away from these CROOKS.
