Aka Eagle Van Lines Inc Charged an extra $300.00 more, Damage goods, stolen electronics and Safe w/jewlery, missing headboard bed frame Brooklyn NY, Also Doing moving Business As Eagle Van Line, Inc, Based In Jersey City, NJ. New jersy, miami, new york

We hired Viking Vanlines how in turned hired a company named Eagle Vanlines with out saying anything to us about having an other company move our items until the day that they showed up with a truck that had no company logo on it and the truck was beat up. I had to sign an other stack of papers for Eaglel Vanlines before they would even load the truck, not giving me time to read. The truck driver, (who spoke broken english and was hard to understand and was an Arab-male), told me that the items that were not in boxes would not be loaded onto the truck, which already had someone else's items on the truck.

So I had to drive to a local furniture store to find some boxes to put the remaining items into so that they would be loaded. The things that remained were a large t. V, queen bed, and gun cabinet. After being told by the agent from Viking Vanlines that the large items would be wraped in moving blankets. Finally, all of the boxes and plastic storage bins were finally loaded onto the truck, which took place on a friday, I was told to call the dispatch office on monday or tuesday to find out what the weight of my items were and how much it was going to cost me to receive my things.

On monday I called and the truck driver had not shown up or even called in. On tuesday I called back again the got the same story, was told to call back on friday. Even when I would call, 9 out of 10 times I would have to leave messages and I would never get anyone to call me back. Friday I called and I was told that the truck had broke down and had been at a dealership getting fixed and that the truck would be arriving back to the company the following monday and someone would be contacting me. Week on down with out clothes and furniture.

Monday, the start of the second week, no one did ever did call me, I had to once again call Eagle Vanlines. Finally got someone to call me back after 7 P.M., which seemed to be there magical time to be in the office and to call people back, and got the answer that I needed. But I was never given a set date on when my items would be deliverd. Toward the end of the week, the truck driver finally called and said that he would be arriving sometime either friday, saturday or early sunday morning.

Finally in the middle of the third week, after arguing with Eagle Vanlines on how much it was going to cost us to receive our items, which they charged us another $300 to get our stuff. When the truck driver (different driver and truck than that one that came and picked up our belongings and was an Arab-male) and his side street hired help started bringing in the boxes and plastic storage bins, they were all damaged, broke, and some were even opened and reboxed. Some of the items, that was in the damaged boxes, were broken, scratched, and not even in a box any more. Some of the item that were in the plastic bins were gone through and items were stolen.

Two computers, spare computer parts, a brand new Xbox 360 and power adapter, a safe that had jewelry and other valuables, clothes, bedding items, head board and rails. The only funny part about this is that we received a box that did not even belong to us.

None of the trucks had markings on them that they even belonged to a company. The truck drive would not sign his name to anything, the only thing that the driver would do was to say that he remembered seeing a headboard in the front of the truck and as soon as he made his delivery in Georgia, if it was on his truck, he would deliver it to us.
