Paid 250$ for protection plan in order to get better price on oil when set up my account with standard. That provides 24 hour no heat protection as well as parts and labor coverage on some components of heating system which included circulator motor. Three month later in february at 3:00 at night we had no heat so i made a call to standard oil for technician, operator said the guy will be there in couple hours, so i waited 4 hours, made couple calls again, finally specialist showed up, checked my boiler and said it circulator motor probably, he can fix it but it will cost me a fortune, so if i have a plumber, i better call him, it will be cheaper and faster, jumped in van and left, so thats what i did, my plumber fix it in 20 minutes and i paid him 200$. 0ne months later i got bill from standard for 100$ for technical service or "INSPECTION" to be exact. Called couple times standard to ask for what inspection i got charged and the answear from technical manager was that if i signed up for protection plan then only standard can fix my boiler in emergencies not my plumber or somebody else, if somebody else will do it then i get charged!!!
