My wedding took place June we paid for wedding pictures and video months in advance. We rendered services from the location at Davids Bridal Central Ave. Yonkers N.Y. We were shown a very nice wedding album with beautiful wedding pictures. We asked to see a sample of there wedding videos, we were then shown a video which we couldn't hear and barely see due to black and white lines scrolling up and down in the middle of the screen. The explanation for the video quality we were given was that the ceremony was held outside and that it was very windy that day so there was nothing they could do about the audio. As far as the quality of the video the tv/dvd player being used was very old according to him.
I did not have a good feeling about the video and I expressed that to my husband in front of the rep. He reasured me that I would be totally satisfied with my wedding video, he told us that he would personaly see to it. Not only did he not see to it but from the day we made the first payment in 2005 to the day we finally got our photos in 2008 we had to deal with six different sales associates, having to explain the situation each and every time. One rep. Who was really nice and also disapointed about the way the company handeled there buisness told us that the people they hired were not professionals. Anyone with a camera would be hired by them.
During my wedding the videoagrapher was no were to be found, the photographer had a nasty attitude he walked in my room while I was getting dressed to take pictures of the my wedding gown which we didn't get to use because my gown hadn't been pressed yet. This guy called my cell phone repeately while I was getting my make-up done and on the way to the ceromony as well to see what time I would arrive. I insructed him to begin taking photos of our guest which he didn't instead he caled me to see if it was ok for him to run back home and get some thing to eat cause he lived minutes away.
At the reception we had placed dispossable cameras on each table for our guest to take random pictures because we knew that the photographer could not be in two places at one time and we didn't want to miss anything. Needles to say that the pictures our guest took were much better than the one we paid so much money for at always perffect studios. There were no pictures of my family (ZERO) taken it was as is if they were never there. I had family fly in and drivn long distances to be there and I have no pictures of them.
During the reception the photographer suggested that we go out to the gazzibo for pictures iwith the sunset in the back round, which was a nice thought but he squeezed me in through all the parked cars causing my wedding gown to get ruined with car oil. I then had to change my gown because the stain was in the front of the dress. The video was the same as the pictures, it was as if they were following each other the entire time. They have wedding video which is very important to us because since then a family member has passed and it's the only video that we would have.
My mothers speech was not included or my sisters which I thought was a must have; there was'nt a single dry eye in the room. I was promissed three wedding albums one for the bride and groom, one for the brides parents and the third for the grooms parents. After the wedding we went back with the few proofs that we were able to use. There was an indian wedding taking place in the same facility as ours. I don't know why but we have lots of pictures of that wedding and there guest. When we picked out the pictures for our albums they wanted to charge us a few hunred dollars more for our parents photos. So we agreed to take just the albums and make copies of the pictuers our selves to save some money. The albume we received were were the kind you can pick-up at your local drug store for a few bucks.
