I tried for three days to pay my bill and everytime I logged into the billpay section of helio.com, I got an error message.
Yesterday, I tried to use my phone and I was routed to helio because my bill was past due. I explained to the rep that I had been trying to get online but coudl not. He said that tech was trying to fix the problem and that he woudl reactivate my service for 24 hours to allow the tech team to fix the problem. Today I woke up and again my account was off. I called again and was told that I coudl make my payment online with the rep. She took my boyfriends credit card number and asked me how much I was paying. I replied that I was paying 253.00; to which she said "oh, all that is due is 230.00". I told her ok that is what I will pay. She asked me to verify that I was allowing Helio to charge my credit card 230 somthing. I agreed and she charged it. My service was put back on and when I hung up, I got a call from my bank asking me if I did a charge in the amount of $491.12 to helio. I said NO!
I called helio back and after almost 30 min of being put on hold, I was told by the manager Cecille that the computer had charged my full bill. I explained that I was just paying the past due amount and that the other was not even due until April. She explained that when I am in "hotline" I have to pay the full amount. I said that I never authorized this and that by doing this it will cause some check to bounce. She said there was nothing anyone could do. She then hung up.
I can't even begin to tell you how upset I am. I tried for days to make my payment and the website never allowed me. I then call in authorize a payment of $230 and in turn get charged $500!
I called back and finally spoke to Kevin 74263 frpm tier 2. He said that unless they could prove that I never authorized this amount there was notthing helio WOULD do! When I asked him for his managers name he said that he was the only person I could speak with.
