*Move from Pinellas Park, FL to Mesa, AZ - pickup 11/29/07 delivery 12/14/07
*False Advertising-stated that a moving van would be picking up my shipment, sent a 24 ft Ryder lease truck, stated they were a moving company, turns out only have 3 trucks and non uniform, non professional movers, etc.
*Did not fully disclose moving detail-did not provide a copy of "Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move", repacked items in wardropes due to size over charging for packing materials; subed out delivery to another company without disclosing at any time.
*Did an incomplete Bill of Lading (BOL) and made me fill out portions.
*Intentionally kept me from seeing the inside of the pickup truck before and after loading, did not provide me with a certified empty weigh ticket.
*Only one of the 3 movers spoke English - he spent most of the time on his cell phone, other 2 movers spoke only Russian, questionable legal US work status of all 3.
*Over charged - refused to provide me with certified or even uncertified documentation of actual weight, estimate on 6400 lbs, charged for 10120 lbs (no major appliances moved)
*Held my household goods hostage for additional money
*Delivery done by Sunshine Marine & Movers of S Florida a/k/a Shunshine Movers, Mike the driver, linked to Direct Moving & Storage Inc.
*Extortion - Moving Van Lines said they would due a "Back Weigh" to resolve question of overage of lbs, Mike from Sunshine threatened $1200 fee to do, threatened $750 over night fee if delivery not done 12/14/07, tried to claim extra fee for possible non accessability to my home (backed down when I pointed out that double-wide mobile homes were moved in and out all the time without accessability problems), threanted to drive off with my "stuff" if I "made one complaint or talked to his workers" (4 non English speaking, probably illegal) told to "just sign the BOL, I" (Mike the driver) "don't check off items, don't sign I" (Mike the driver)"leave".
*Dumped items in front storage room, when full, dumped items on porch blocking the front door access, when I pointed this out, cleared a path by dumping items in carport storage, when this storage area full, Mike and workers got in truck and left, front porch semi blocked, only 2 items placed in my house although all boxes and tubs clearly marked in color coded lables as to where they were to be put.
*Have never been given a receipt of any kind for the $4853 payment of the move.
*Damages - hard to tell, need to hire someone to pull out my possessions (clothes, kitchen items, bath room items, etc) from storage areas, items left on front porch all were damaged
