This company was contracted to paint the outside of my house. Several times they were offered a key for access but refused and instead broke in through windows when access was required. On one occasion they locked the dead bolt so no one could access. I ended up going in through a window for access. They caulked and painted all my windows shut. They removed approximately 100 square feet of exterior siding without permission claiming it was rotted. Threw it in my back yard.
Throughout the entire process they were uncommunicative and when asked why the wife of the owner got arregant and wrote us a nasty email. They took one of my personal ladders to another job, I had to ask them to return it.
They killed a dogwood tree in my back yard. The cleaned their paint brushes with thinner in my yard which killed my grass. The put their ladders in my flower bed to store them while they were working on other projects. Some areas have started peeling and it has only been about 18 months since the job was done. The broke outside electrical receptacle covers off. Paint splatters in my driveway. Left trash from drink cans and snacks in the bushes. I guess I could go on and on.
I am not the only person in Edenton who has had this experience with this company. ALBEMARLE PAINTING is absolutly the most UNPROFESSIONAL company I have ever done business with.
