I got a call from a Ms. Davis of PRA regarding a debt they got from a credit card company years ago.
During the course of the conversation, I let her know that my family and I are trying to pool monies together to help get a daughter of mine and her twin babies home from Lahore, Pakistan.
This was a couple of weeks before the recent fighting broke out over there. She got upset with me and told me, Well, I hope your daughter stays in Pakistan" or that we are not able to get her out of there.
Since the fighting has broke out there, I keep hearing that harsh, cruel tone and words in my head and keep thinking how wrong it was for her to say that. It had nothing to do with the debt that they say I owe them.
I wonder if Ms. Davis, herself, is a mother and how she would feel if some debt collector, who is supposed to conduct themselves in a professional manner, flew off the handle and said something that mean and insensitive to her about one of her family members.
There has to be legal remedies against a company who allows people like her to represent them in such a manner.
