Hi, Here in California we have a law that no one except for the person that owes debt (ME) that is being contacted by a debt collector shall be given any information about that debt collection. Well UCB, United Credit Bureau, Citicards called and my seventy nine year old mother answered and they told here that they were suing me for a CITICARD debt. My mom is not in good health and I am disabled also. I have been fighting Cancer in my right shoulder for over a year, Four operations now and one more in two days. I have still have not started to receive my disability payments yet and have no money. CITI agreed just three weeks ago that they would wait for me to start getting my checks. BUT UCB clearly broke the law here by giving information to my mom and I have still have not been able to settle her down. I have been doing 24/7 home care for her for seven years now and was doing pretty well working from home until I got cancer.
