On the day of August 23 I bought a bird from Casa La Parrot pet store for myself and my two young children. I've never owned a bird before so I looked around for a while and also asked questions about taking care of birds. The bird that my children and I picked out was a baby cockateil.
I spent approximately $79.00 dollars for the bird itself and a few extra dollars for food and accessories. My bird died two weeks after purchasing her. I went back to the pet store with the bird and the sales rep stated that the bird had died of starvation.
There is no way that is possible because i have witnessed her eating, so have my girlfriend, and other friends that have dropped in for a visit at my house. Also my girlfriend has the same type of bird, so it was no problem learning how to care for my pet.
Eventhough the bird that i had picked was a baby, and had just been wened to my knowledge the bird should not have been sold at the time i bought her. What kills me is that the pet store wont give me anther bird in place of the one that died unless i pay $55.00 dollars, and they consider that to be a discount price.
