The fellow who came to my home was not clear. He represented as being a subsidiary of Honeywell. He invited himself in as he began to take over the conversation. I had a work appointment to which he ignored continuing on. I got my son and left. I was not comfortable leaving. He had threatened to leave if I left and numerous times said he did not care if I accepted the promo he would give it to someone else, but stayed. He was gone when I got home and returned at 8 pm.
Bottom line: it turns out there was a 3 year (used to be 5) commitment to access the police monitoring @ $36 a mo, not bad but the clincher: I discovered was the police will not respond unless the call is verified. Dispatch told me verification is done only when a company rep is at my home calling 911! What is that about? Dispatch said they will respond to medical and fire w/o the verification! So its useless, he agreed?!!
This fellow was misguided and misleading he was young and reminded me of a vacuum salesman, on his first sales job or perhaps poorly trained by the co he works for? I hope he is smart enough to desist. My pet peeve is manipulation and pushiness. Thank you. Ps. I checked APX did get a license to solicit in my area.
