Unprofessional, Theives, dishonest, flat out horrible company!

This company (for lack of better words) is a complete joke. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. The only positive thing that happened in this experience was the people who actually moved my furniture.in defense to all of them they seemed to be nice people who did a great job, who happen to work for the biggest jerk in the world. Which they all admitted and verified was true.

The first sign of deception was when the truck arrived. It was a Penski rental. The website shows large professional moving vans with their logo. Well thats not what shows up. They rent trucks to save money on upkeep (according to the actual movers who came to my house).

I was very hesitant in allowing them to take my stuff once I saw the rental. But unfortunately when youre moving out of state everything is scheduled and planned, so its hard to back out.

My gut instinct was correct this would be the beginning of a horrible ordeal.

At the beginning when they are trying to get you to sign the contract they guesstimate how much your belongings will weigh. NEVER believe this! I of course found out later that they use very vague standards. No real thought goes into this. They told me I had approximately 4,000 lbs. I got 3 estimates from other local companies and they all said about the same.

NEVER allow a mover to give you an "estimate". Thats the trick! They lied to me and I'm positive I'm not the only one. Remember the friendly employee's (just the guys who actually moved me) well they confirmed that its a trick to get people to sign the contract. Only sign with a mover that will guarantee a price (no matter what the actual weight ends up being).

So when my belongings were actually weighed it all supposedly came to more than double (8,383 lbs). This happens supposedly at a state regulated weigh station. I asked for a copy of this to be sent to me and that never happened. Once they pick up your stuff your at their mercy. And they love it that way.

The customer service was null and void once they had my stuff. When it came time to deliver I got an email for a final bill raising the price to double.instead of paying $1824.00 (the estimated price on the original quote), the actual price was now $3655.35 Almost double!!!

I was furious to say the least. $1831 increase for someone on a very tight budget is a bit much. I had put aside a few hundred dollars to make sure just incase they were a little off. Not ever expecting this.

I called them immediately to find out how could they have been so far off in the estimate. The sales man "Jordan" said they do their best to be close. Well their best is not good enough. So I asked to speak with his boss or a manager.

I was referred to one of the owners, Carmen. She was probably the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. Well more like yelling. She is a loud mouth. She wasn't the least bit apologetic about the mistake or under estimate. She basically said "pay us what you owe or you don't get your crap back" and hung up on me. I spoke with her several times trying to get them to be reasonable about this and all times ended with her hanging up on me.

After this went on for some time I was then transferred to the other owner. Joey! This is a man who on a weekly basis is running for his life. According to his movers Joey is beat up by a dissatisfied customer regularly. I can truly see why. I'm sure he likes to get out of state moves the best.

Joey loves to yell too. After a very lengthy argument with him (while he ate his lunch in my ear) he decided to make a deal with me. He proceeded to offer me a $250 discount. Not nearly what I wanted however I decided to take it and cut my losses. I really just wanted to get my belongings delivered and figured I deal with this crime later.

Once I paid the balance, they didn't have time to deliver my stuff. So now not only do they have all my money and then some they still have my whole house and home! It took me a week of hang ups and ignored phone calls to get a confirmed date of when they'd deliver my stuff. Once again all my life was planned around them delivering my stuff a few days after I paid the balance (I estimated a few days because that is what Jordan, the sales rep told me). Once again another lie.

So a week later my stuff arrives. Several boxes had been opened. I assure you since I am the "tape monster" that this was done deliberately. The movers said the heat can do that (Last time I checked it isn't too hot in Tennessee, in November). I didn't believe it but had no time to deal with it. The movers are very fast so it can get confusing when they are bringing boxes in left and right and you are trying to document if all is received. I was supposed to get 47 medium to small boxes. So it was easy to be off 1 number. I was!

After I started to organize my boxes I noticed that a box that contained my computer was missing. I proceeded to unpack everything just to see if I missed it while organizing. Well after all was unpacked my computer was and is still missing. It stood out in my head because it was the last box I packed and my show towels were in there too.

I of course called the company to see if maybe if was left behind by accident. They said they would have to file a claim. Well I'm sure you know were this led to. No where! They refused to take my calls and or ignored them. I filled a complaint with the local police department, they were not interested in helping. They told me to take them to court. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. They too were ignored about the complaint. They now have a bad record with the BBB. Hopefully I can be thanked a little for that.
