What is this? A page out of the old Communist Russia Repression Handbook? Internet

Here is my letter to Singlesnet: It tells all - please read and beware!

1. I rarely if ever have anything in common with your "one-to-one" matches e.G. Smoking, age, location, likes, dislikes, hobbies, all of which I diligently listed in my profile page; in fact, they were so far off base that I actually went back in and checked to make sure they hadn't been changed. Assuming a computer program comes up with these, who in your organization is responsible for writing THAT outstanding computer program? He/She/They obviously need some more practice or, if you bought it off the shelf, I would suggest asking for your money back. I fail to understand how I got a "one-to-one" match notification on a 35 year old fitness freak living in the Midwest, who doesn't smoke and has no pets - when I am a 61 year old couchpotato living in Arizona, who smokes like a chimney, and has 5 dogs!

2. My saved and sent messages may last up to 24 hours, and then they routinely disappear completely, and your help line says they cannot be retrieved. Must have been something evil or reprehensible in them?

3."Someone" or "Something" either removes any personal contact content e.G. Telephone numbers, email addresses - before delivering messages; or simply deletes the entire message and it never reaches the destination. This is AFTER we have signed on and paid our dues. What is this a page out of the old Communist Russia Repression Handbook? After all, we ARE consenting adults who have already given you our money, what possible benefit comes to Singlesnet from this type of action? If the recipient doesn't want the contact information, they certainly don't have to use it! But shouldn't that be consenting adults personal decision?

4. Your members currentl "on-line" list consists of practically EVERYONE who ever signed up! And NONE of them ever seem to be currently "on-line" to correspond with in quasi real-time. The lack of a chat room feature - even if was at a premium - is unforgivable and a rip-off.

5. There is no provision for HTML, adding images, emoticons, IM, or any other means or form of expressing one-self anything to actually facilitate and encourage your paying customers really getting to know someone through the site, just simply isnt available.

6. Considering everything, you treat us all like ignorant 2nd graders instead of consenting adults, and seemingly monitor every move we make.

Bottom line is - IF (and that is spelled with a Capital I and F...) any member manages to actually meet someone through you, it's either sheer luck or, through constant and exhaustive perseverance and - figuring out how to work around your venerable witch-hunt censors... The whole thing is simply ludicrous and has to be viewed as a scam just to get our money and manipulate us.

Your service is shamefully misrepresented through misleading advertising and I have ABSOLUTELY nothing positive to relate to anyone about it! From what I can see, this is just another creepy way to get lonely people to give up money they usually can't afford, with the vain hope of actually finding someone through your service Quite frankly, people would have better luck meeting someone at the local Grocery or Laundromat!

I would like my money refunded to buy some quarters for the washers and dryers - however I am not going to hold my breath and waste any more time waiting for that to happen. I am sure that I will get much more satisfaction sending copies of this letter to complaint and AARP in the hopes that I save someone else wasting their time and hard-earned money.

P.S. You just might share this with upper management and perhaps your Technical and Marketing Guru's - with a few of the changes I mention above -the site might actually bring a few people together; and maybe you would sleep better at night (like you don't alread - Crooks sleep like babies.)
