Charter Communications hired AFNI Collection Services to collect an account in my name. My name happens to be very common in Los Angeles county.
I have only lived here in Ca. 7 years and they put derogatory collection information for $212 on my credit for a file 9 years old!!!
After speaking with 4 different collection supervisors over 2 weeks and about 5 hours phone time later... Finally they removed it. It caused me great duress as I was applying for a new home loan at the time!!!
