I was with Hurricane 3yrs 11mo's, when I and 3 other drivers went in to confront Kaedon. About his ethics and practices. They blocked the driveway, flattened our right steer tires on our trucks..
I am the other driver that was mentioned by Pamella... We were fired and he filed a false police report on me. Saying I stole my truck which I hold a contract on... He then took it to Joplin Peterbilt and traded it/them in on other trucks..
Kaedon, does not pay on time. And when you do get a check he puts a short run with a long one making your settlement show you owe him money... After he force dispatched you. And will not allow or show you the original paperwork on anything. He says I don't have time or I don't have it any more... As well as his sidekick brother Sheldon says the same thing. They force you to run illegal..
His in house dispatcher is paid off the top. Of each chicken load a driver is dispatched on. Kaedon doesn't pay him the driver does. This is true. He does the same with his broker company in Delaware. Logistics. He skims off the top and pays office help and operational monies. Again the driver pays for this. Skimmer Kaedon doesn't..
Hurricane will lie to you in a heartbeat... Steals money from you anyway he can. Everything is HIS. Money. Trucks (which we discovered he does not own them. They are lease trucks..) but he will sign a contract stating he is the owner.
Hurricane states they pay all permits etc. Thats a lie. You pay for it out of the money for trailer. He doesn't even pay for the reefer fuel with that money. You do... And don't get your daily advance. It will cost you $40.00 / $100.00.. Thats illegal..
He also will get his brother-in-law to give a driver prescription drugs without the prescription..
I broke my hand and he would not give me time off, to have it taken care of. My hand has never healed right... Contractors. No. We were treated like employees. Also had to sign off on workman's comp after I was hired and working and was told if I didn't sign it I couldn't work there..

He doesn't want drivers talking to one another... He is a slum lord also. His business is in an old double wide trailer. And drivers vehicles left there when they were fired. He then takes them to the junk yard and gets money from it. The drivers were so broke they couldn't take their vehicles w/them..
Whatever you do don't go there. Run in the other direction. Biggest crooks you'll ever run into!
