Don't switch to ATT its not Cingular anymore!!! I've had Cingular for a long time I've never had a problem with service or product support. I have a business account and have used my phone and Cingular service in many US cities and it worked flawlessly. That is a different story now!!! I have a what was considered less than 2 years ago to be the top of the line Sony / Ericsson 710A. I NEVER dropped a call until Cingular changed to ATT. When I inquired how I could remedy the problem I was told that the phone was on the old system and that I should upgrade my phone. The phone I bought new was over $300.00 at the time from Cingular and the upgrade for free they offer has few of the features the phone i currently own.
The customer service as Cingular was the best I never had a problem that was not resolved by phone. Now Customer service is shoddy and indifferent on the phone or in person. I'm changing to another provider as soon as my present contract is up. I can't urge you stronger NOT to select ATT. Product support, customer service and the thing you have the phone for in the first place reliability were not purchased in the corporate buy-out!!! Good luck making a call that's not dropped if you go with them.
