I ordered an Infocus IN72 projector from their website. The price was $360.00 after a $200.00 mail in rebate. I received a phone call to confirm my order and the salesman tried to sell a 'package' for $1,000.00!
I declined and after trying to pressure me into buying several other 'deals' he said my total amount would be $778.18.
I asked him how he got from $360.00 to $778.18! He quoted me $78.18 for tax (I am an out of state buyer and there is no sales tax and $48.18 for shippiing.
I told him the total was still not $778.18. He could not tell me what the other chargers were. When I received my order I looked at the invoice, and there was no breakdown to indicate what the charges were.
A receipt was included, but also did not show any items. Only a total amount was shown. My package was shipped UPS ground.
I checked their website and the correct charge should have been $11.14 not $48.18! Their website price was $360.00. The $200.00 mail in rebate would make the final sales price $560.00.
With the correct shipping of $11.14 the total should have been $571.14 not $778.18. The amount I have been overcharged is $195.90! I am in the process of disputing this amount with my credit card company.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
