I was suprised to find a letter from Spain in my mailbox today. I opened it to find an 'Award Final Notification' saying that I was one of 31 lucky winners of a lottery for a share of 415,810 euros! My husband and I looked over this letter very carefully (and the accompanying form asking for my bank details and a copy of my identification) and thought it looked very suspicious.
I went on the internet and Google searched the company in the letter to find that it is ofcourse a total scam!
The scam artists behind this sort of thing should not be able to get away with this! I feel sorry for the people out there who truly believe that they have actually won a large sum of money and send off the requested information.
It's great that this information is available on the internet to name these so-called 'companies' out there doing this!
