I purchased a $15 Huck's Gift Card for wife, a teacher nearby [and kept receipt WITH the card! ]. When wife used card for first time a month later, she was told there was no balance on the card, and the clerk couldn't help her. The other clerk there also confirmed there was no balance, also offering no help.
Neither clerk was helpful, rather curt. My wife furnished the receipt, only to be told that it only showed that a card was purchased; an ADDITIONAL receipt showing the VALIDATION was needed. Ha! The joke's on me! My wife threw a fit, was finally told to come back and see the manager.
I also went on-line to voice my objection to this type of business practice, only to find Huck's does not have a web site, and neither does the parent company [Martin & Bayley Inc of Carmi, Illinois] that I could find in Google or MSN. Huck's is located in several midwestern states, and has dozens of stores. Play at your own risk! [Note: the manager DID agree to assist us].
