Rebate ripoff They're ripoff artists never process your rebates and just give you runaround

Last Feb. (Feb. 06), I bought 2 cell phones for $200 with rebates equaling the same amount from these guys. That was after seeing their online ad on MSN.com.
The terms of the rebate was that I had to stay with the carrier for 6 months in good standing and then I have to send the completed rebate form, UPC and receipt to the address provided and should expect a check within 4-6 weeks. That's exactly what I did, back on AUG 06, however I never received any response from them. I contacted them in OCT 06, thru their online rebate site (cellphonerebates.com), but it couldn't find my claim. I called the number provided and they told me their processing center has changed and I have to send everything to the new one. Again I did this, this time with registered mail and waited, but didn't hear anything for another month. I contacted Better Business Bureau of Washington, DC and filed a complaint. Then I went to the online site, same story. Called them and they said I should wait a little longer. I waited again for another week or so, nothing. I called them and talked to the supervisor, but they gave me the same old run-around. They said it's not their fault that mail gets lost! I did search online and found this site, where I read other horror stories from other victims like me. Couple of weeks ago (mid-Jan 07), I received a letter from BBB that according to InPhonic this rebate has been processed and to contact them again, if it hasn't.

Attached was also a letter from InPhonic cust svc repeating the same old line: send all documents again. My wife faxed the documents to the number, and called them right away. First they said they haven't received it. When she persisted, they put her on hold for 45 minutes and then she said, we don't have it. Fax it again! She faxed again and called, but this time the cust svc person was supposedly away and receptionist told my wife to email her. She did, but the email bounced, as it was a wrong number. Meanwhile I read on of the complaints that I should call a number 703-636-4737, ask for Earl Harvey, and claim that your only remaining recourse is to take them to court for a much, much higher amount than the original rebate.
I had my wife do this every couple of days or so, but so far nothing.

Despite all of this, after 6 months, I'm still not giving up on that $200. I wrote a response to the guy from BBB and explained the whole situation all over again and asked them to check usacomplaints.com complaints for himself.

If anyone wants to join me for a class action suite against, please contact me at my email. These guys are still in business of ripping innocent people off and should be stopped or learned a lesson. I just saw their ad on MSN.com front page. If you're a victim like me, click on Ad Feedback and tell them your story and demand that they don't post any ads from this company.
