I am filing this report on behalf of my client, Thomas.
My client has COPD and/or emphysema and is unable to walk even a few steps without loosing his breath. This company sold him a motorized chair which recently broke down and he has benn unable to get the ordered part for the chair. Mr Thomas ordered the part some time in November 2006 and to date has not received any response. When we contacted the company every week thereafter, their response is they havwe not been able to obtain the part.
I don't understand how a company can have a product that they are unable to service. I think this is a serious injustice and disservice to a poor indignant man who is unable to advocate for himself. I do not know whoelse to contact or where to seek help conscerning this matter.
Please advise me what my alternatives are since my client is literally immobilized and has been unable to keep medical appointments or any of the freedoms this chair afforded him until this company ripped him off.
Can we request another chair from medicaid or just what can we do. Please contact me as soon as possible.
