I have a split level home that I have lived in for 25 years. I am no longer able to use my stairs and do not want to leave my home. I had 2 chair lifts installed by A 1 Medical Supply. They arranged for measuring and installing of the 2 units. I have a door at the end of the lower level stairway which everyone at the company was aware of. There is no way I can use the lower lift because it stops well above the floor level and there is no way to get off of the left without two people assisting. My caregiver has to crawl over the chair to get upstairs. A 1 Medical Supply said that since I had signed a release I had no recourse whatsoever. The release that I signed was for the installer to get paid and I wrote on this release that I was NOT satisfied with these stair lifts. This is so dangerous the fire dept said they would axe it down if i ever had to exit my home quickly. I have placed numerous phone calls, many emails, contacted the manufacturer, sent pictures to all involved and finally got a response saying do not call or email us again, our decision is final. I paid 6,000.00 for these lifts I am 71 years old and again, do not want to leave my home of 25 years. Please help me get this resolved... Thank you kindly
