Ordered item on 12-4. Best Toys sent an order confirmation and said another note would come with delivery info once the order was shipped. On 12-17 I sent a request to 2 email addresses ([email protected] and [email protected]) for status on delivery and received a confirmation that someone would contact me from each email address. I have had no contact from them, and based on the information here, do not expect to.
My credit card was billed on 12-6. There is a phone number associated with the charge: 409-543-0584, but that number just rings. I found this complaint site and contacted by phone the first person referenced - Tammy Caffey - who said that she bought the domain name referenced with her name but never used it. She has received a couple of emails, but my call was the first she received. I told her about the situation and she is upset. I asked her if she knows Jay Holts - the registered owner of "besttoysoftheyear.com". She said yes - that Jay Holts, the second person reference here, is the boyfriend of one of her employees. She doubts that Best Toys is a legitimate company. She is going to contact the police and keep me posted as to what happens. I hope I am not being scammed by her as well. She sounded sincere...
I've requested the order be cancelled today, but do not expect that to happen. Now it's time to go find this item somewhere else!
