First I want to say as a consumer I have never been treated the way the Nextel customer reps & Supervisors have been allowed to treat me. If I didnt have a contract I would cancel this account in a heartbeat. Dont know where they get their training but they need to fire all of them and start again. I have been told 3 different things by 3 different reps but what I have been promised by Nextel has not been followed through with not 1 time in the 3 times it was promised to me. I sent a I870 phone back on 9/22/06 for the reason it was the worst phone I had ever used due to reception issues, dropped calls unable to send text messages, not being able to access my data services, etc.

The first rep after much conversation regarding the phone told me she would send me a shipping label along with retrun forms. Never received them. I called back told the same story, promised the same stuff return label and forms. Never received them. Called a third time and promised the same but instead I said I would just ship it back myself and I was told they would reimburse me for this because of the inconvenince of being promised things that NO ONE at Nextel followed through with. Packaged received by Nextel on 9/28/06 via UPS. I made the call today because I knew the package had been received but no credit issued. I spoke with Rhonda P? Who happened to be the worst customer rep ever.

Since then I have spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with many different reps at Nextel today 10/03/06. You should never talk down to your customers or raise your voice, your customers are only as good as you treat them. I was informed I would not be receiving a credit due to the fact I didnt send the sim card back, when I apologized and said I would send it in I was then informed it would do no good. I am requesting a credit which was promised to me of $480.30. This includes all the ringtones which were downloaded and unuseable due to the phone, shipping costs, upgarde fees, late fees etc. The phone was returned due to the fact it was a poor performing phone. My first call to Nextel was made within 14 days of receiving this phone and pretty much every week or so after. They also informed me because I didnt return the sim card they are going to keep the phone and not give me a credit for it. So its on me, I still owe for the phone.

Does this sound like theft to you? It does to me because I feel Nextel has robbed me blind. Its like going to the return department of a store and them telling me you forgot the cord but because of this we are keeping the product anyway and not issuing you a credit even though you offered to get it and send it to them. You can go to a Nextel store and get a replacement sim card for $20.00. But fact is I have the sim. My fault here is not including the sim card in my return, Nextels fault is not coming through for what they promised (the mandatory return forms and shipping label) and now it is past the so called 30 day return policy. But the final call to Nextel when I said I would just return it was on 9/22/06 and I put it though UPS the same day, it was signed for on 9/28/06. They are telling me they will not be shipping the phone back to me. This is a $400.00 phone, in which they still expect me to pay for.in order for me to get this phone I had to accept a extension on my contract for 2 years but since all this they wont take that back so now I am out a total of $480.00 and an extension of a contract of another 2 years with a company who continues to practice treating consumers poorly and ripping them off.

As of all the calls I have made to Nextel today and people I have spoken with my phones have now been disconnected.
