On Monday September 25 my Time Warner Cable service (internet, TV, Phone) went complete out at approximately 10:00 AM in the morning. Upon calling the "Service Center" (which was located in Canada while I am in a suburb of Houston, TX) reported through "lip service" how it would take until 12-2 PM Wednesday 09/27/06 when a so-call "technician" would come out to "see what is wrong".
I believe in paying my bills upon receipt and spend over $200/month with TW. Everytime I pay my bill my service goes down for approximately 3-5 days. So, based on my billing cycle that is approximately $6/day or $15-$18/mo. That is lost by me using their services. More specific, over the course of the annual contract it is minimum of $150/yr. From just me. Imagine the pure profit TW gains world wide by rotating their "outages" and the millions, or billions of $ annually they suck down from the general consumer.
Do not trust Time Warner! I know, just as here in League City, they (TW) have a monopoly on the market, however, I encourage raising questions and filing complaints when they RIPOFF your household and/or business.
Contact any and all governement and FCC departments to report these liar and cheats on stop putting up with these morans.
