The home office is located in california and i was told by a south carolina supervisor Daneil that Allen Smith was the CEO of the company.
Bought a machine from this company out of there store in melbourne Florida. And the machine was incomplete. So i called them and talked to there employees in India about the missing parts. Well after being on the phone talking to the indian people that spoke very poor english, They also hung the phone up on me several times. I talked to a Matt Davis in Delhi India.
I told him i never received my parts i called about 3 months prior. He checked and told me i never called. So basicaly calling me a liar, And can you beleive this he wanted to sell me the parts, I told him i wouldnt spend a dime on parts that i paid for already and never received.
Well that went no where. I told him that i have spent 10's of thousans of dollars at there stores and i would not buy from them anymore. This guy could care less, I was finished with him.
I called southcarolina where i reached this smart elic woman called Christa she said she would sell me the parts that i paid for already. I told her i would donate the machine to some one before i paid twice for any item no matter the cost. And never purchase anything from harbor freight again. And i told her that we have several buisness we own and buy a lot from them. She said i dont care how many buisnesses you own and didnt care how much i spent in there stores VERY BAD ADDITUDE. Then she said are you finished i said NO let me speak to your supervisor, She wouldnt let me talk to the supervisor she then hung up the phone.
Well i called back. So far today i was on the phone with these people for about 7 hours. Anyway i asked for the supervisor i held for about 30 min. Then daneil came on and told me she was the supervisor. Well i proceeded to tell her all that i have been thru for a few parts that were missing when i bought this new machine, And she told me the warranty expired. How can a warranty expire on any thing you buy if the parts you paid for were not in the box or even in my possesion. DONT THEY HAVE TO GIVE YOU WHAT YOU PAID FOR FIRST BEFORE THE WARRANTY EVEN STARTS.
Well Daneil tried to sell me the parts also. I told her if the parts cost two cents that was two cents to much because i already paid for these parts and the machine will not operate with out them. Well she didnt seem to care about this, Hey i guess they figure put your 8 hours a day in and thats it.
But in the long run they will end up going out of buisness. Because you cant cheat people forever and get away with it. They will all end up in the unemployment line one day. It seems most of these big corperations think the people cant live with out them when there is always another company looking to compete with them and knock them out of buisness.
Hey its going to happen to them i dont know when but it will because they are getting to big for there pants. Anyway if you buy any thing from them you need to open the sealed box count every part every screw and check it out or if you dont you will be in trouble. Call them later and you will be sorry.
I knew a guy that bought a car from a place he said was called ONE WAY USED CARS anotherwards you buy the car go one way and dont come back and they dont even want to see you back unless its to bring them money or buy another car and head one way again. But god forbid you bring up any problems you had with any previous things you purchased. IF I WERE TO RATE THEM FROM A ONE TO TEN I WOULDNT BE SO HARSH I WOULD GIVE THEM A MINUS ONE.
I will never deal with them again or any of my employees or family, or friends. I sent the CEO a letter lets see if he even responds? I doubt he will but you never know. But if i were a betting man i would say he will never respond. Anyway i will donate the machine to someone who wants to deal with a rock wall HARBOR FREIGHT! I say "b e w a r e"
