While digging up and removing the current oncrete driveway, the corner portion of my stucco house wall was knocked out and gouged by contractor. Artisitic repaired this problem with latex patch—a terrible job. My white brick planter had pulled away from the house as a result of contractor's removal of old concrete. This area was filled in with latex patch—another terrible job!
Driveway paint was sprayed all over white brick planter wall, beige house, and white window area. I had to purchase piant in different colors to paint over the spray.
Plants were sprayed with color also. I had to wash them down with my garden house.
These issues were detailed in a letter that was faxed to Artistic Concrete on July 24 after a conversation that I initiated with Mr. Erving Blanco, the Office Manager. A crew came out the following week and performed the above repairs (?)/work.
Sod was laid haphazardly along both sides of the driveway. Many holes were left. I had to purchase additional sod and dirt to fix this problem.
This work was substandard.
The color on driveway has begun to chip. This was noted on August 4. I called Mr. Erving Blanco, their Office Manager, on his personal cell phone and left two messages, neither of which were returneed. I also faxed this company a letter on August 4, informing them of this problem and notifying them of by nonacceptance of the driveway. To date, no one has responded to me. I have subsequently purchaed concrete paint and sealer to fix this problem.
I also relayed my concerns to their receptionist whom I called and who told me that she would speak to the owner. I have yet to be contacted.
I have cancelled my final payment ($310, total cost was $3100) on the driveway and expained to Artisitc in the August 4 letter, that I did NOT accept the driveway. I was following the instructions stated on the back of the contact which specified that, if the driveway began to chip, I had 3 months to notify them. They are beginning to harass me for payment.
I have digital pictures of the before and after repair jobs and the chipping concrete. I have saved my sales receipts on the purchases that I have made to correct their substandard work.
