D & R Masonry - Ron Morgan We entered into a contract on 9-12-08 for Ron to replace part of a driveway and sidewalk while adding on a extension to the driveway. A deposit was given to Ron for the repairs to begin on 9-14.
Ron and his crew started the tear out the old concrete and replaced it with new concrete. When the crew finished they sprayed, i should say poured on, concrete sealer. Well this product is suppose to be lightly sprayed on and it was put on with a stream. The entire new driveway and walk look incredibly bad. I called Ron and told him what had happened. He continued to tell me that the stuff would dry. Well, a month later, it still looks as bad... Ron came out to look at it and literally freaked out that his crew screwed this up. And continued to apologize to me how poorly it looks. He stated that he would get this fixed no matter what it took. I should have known something when he continued to ask me for partial payments, even though the job was not done. Not srapped for cash, I continued to pay up front as the job progressed. He said to fix it would required this lazy man to purchase some remover, apply, scrub and wash off. But i also showed Ron the huge mess his crew left in the road, a bunch of gravel was all over. His crew also completely splattered the side of our house with concrete, which took hours to remove with a pressure washer - and some is still stuck.
Ron kept leading me on that he would be out to finish the job, blaming the company that supplies the product for the delay. Well I really became impatient and begun to call Ron daily. He always had an excuse when he answered the phone. All of a sudden, about two weeks ago he refuses to call me back.
I've even just asked for him to give me the name of the company so that i could purchase the product and do it myself.
Hopefully you will read this note and NOT use D & R Masonry & Concrete from Oakfield WI. Ron is not easy to work with and his crew will leave you with poor work and a BIG MESS.
