I purchased a Motorola RAZR in May '05 from Cellular Choices (Inphonic). Cellular Choices advertised a $200 mail-in rebate. After I purchased the phone, the rebate terms and conditions were revealed. I had to be sent in between 180 and 210 days after purchase. I marked the date and sent in the forms at the required time (December '05). Months later, Inphonic informed me the rebate would not be honored using an excuse that my mobile number was not shown on one of the forms. Retained copies of the forms showed that my mobile number was included (as well as my order number, Cingular acct. Number, name, address, etc.).
After many phone calls and 15 emails back and forth to Inphonic, they changed the terms and conditions of the rebate, and refused payment of my $200. My primary contact at Inphonic has been Doreen Dennis ([email protected]).
