Subscribed to vonage on or about 6/8/06, was told by representative they would cancel my current phone provider. I was told I could keep my current phone #.
On or about 7/10/06, I realized vonage had not canceled my current provider and had given me a new phone # without notifying me of this occurrence.
I was told vonage uses a 3rd party to cancel current providers but they were never able to reach my provider (verizon).
When I decided to cancel on 7/10/06, I was not given an authorization # to return their adapter but was told to keep it, they charged me over $159.00.
