Initially, I scheduled to have a consultation with Rhonda, so that she could look at my hair for the possibility of fusion extensions. My hair is a very different texture than the extensions that I wanted put in, so I ASKED her - before I paid ANYTHING - if she would be able to blend my hair with the extensions, and she said YES!!! So I paid the $300 deposit, and came back the next week for my appointment. When she was finished with my hair, it looked AWFUL! I actually had to walk out of the shop, COVERING MY HEAD (after JUST having my hair done) because I was sooo embarrassed!!!
The extensions did NOT blend at all. They were supposed to last up to three months, but only ended up lasting two weeks (and looking horrible the entire time) because of how AWFUL they looked! I had to have them removed as soon as I possibly could! During the two weeks that I had them, I tried everything I possibly COULD to get my hair to look decent, and it never worked. It looked HORRIBLE!
If she couldn't blend my hair with the extensions, or even if she wasn't SURE if she could blend them, she should have just been honest with me, and I would have opted NOT to receive her services. All of this could have been avoided! However, she LIED and told me that she WOULD be able to blend them, just to get my money!!!
So, as a result of spending $900 on these extensions, I could not even leave the house! I was forced to stay indoors! It looked THAT bad; and the times when I HAD to go out of the house, I was reduced to wearing hats and scarves to cover up her mistakes! She did an absolutely HORRIBLE job! Her website was also VERY misleading, as she had picures of other clients who received the SAME service, whose hair looked MUCH better than mine did.
I now know that I should have just not paid her.
I consulted with another stylist, and she also agreed on how horrible of a job that Rhonda did on my hair. She said that she was actually ANGRY when she saw my hair, and that the defendant should be put out of business.
Initially, Rhonda wanted me to schedule a second appointment with her for the following week, so I did. I was under the impression that she would do this for free, to correct her original mistakes. However, when I emailed her just two days later about how horrible my hair was looking, she sent an email back, stating that I would have to pay $140 MORE for her to ATTEMPT (keyword) to correct it, but that she "couldn't promise" the results!!! I never responded to that email, because I was not interested in spending MORE money on an unfit stylist - especially when she couldn't even guarantee the results!
When I asked for a refund, she REFUSED to give me MY money back, which I am entitled to! Somehow, she feels that she deserves it! (LOL!) She acted as if she was angry with ME for asking for the refund, when I'M the one that had to suffer the consequences of her DISHONESTY and HORRIBLE styling skills!!! I should not have to pay $900, because her dishonesty led to a HORRIBLE job being done on my hair, and the extensions having to be removed in two weeks. That was an EXTREME waste of money!
People, save your money and your dignity... Do not go to this stylist!!!
