Sisters Beware — royal hair extensions is NOT a salon and you will NOT have a salon experience. If you go, go with your previous extensions removed and your hair clean. When I went to royal — I had my old extensions removed and then I had to go down an elevator (of an busy office building), through the lobby, out to the street (mind you, I have glue in my hair) and walk a little less than half a block to Jean Louis David (they have a working relationship with royal hair) only to be completely humiliated as I waited for someone "brave" enough to wash and blow out my hair.
The blow out was horrible, as the owner of royal hair advised the stylist NOT to place conditioner on my hair, so I had a very straight halohead. I then had to walk out of the salon, into the building lobby, sign in with a doorman, go back into the elevator bank of this busy office building, to have my extensions put in. And that is exactly what they do. Put them in. They do not even own a blow dryer.
They slapped the extensions in my hair (and did a good job at that), but do not cut, nor style the hair. And the hair is 20 inches, which is great if you have a long neck to ward off the trollish look. So sisters, beware, if you are looking to be embarrassed and humiliated and don't mind paying upwards of $800 for that experience — royal hair is the place you are looking for. Otherwise, spend the extra money and go to a salon.
